The Infilling of the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost)

When a person receives the gift of the Holy Spirit, the very God of glory comes to live inside his body (Colossians 1:27). This glorious experience is characterized by the phenomenon of speaking in other tongues as a sign of the coming of the Spirit (Acts 2:1-4). The Holy Spirit in our hearts fills us with power, makes us witnesses of Jesus Christ and seals our salvation.

“…Christ in you, the hope of glory…” (Colossians 1:27).

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4)

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30)

Have you received the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the initial sign of speaking in other tonges as God's Spirit gives you the utterance?
